Module 1 introduced you to the concept of ageism, a form of prejudice and discrimination against those held to be old. Ageist attitudes can be held by anyone, including older persons. Use FSCJs databases to find scholarly, peer-reviewed research on ageism among professionals who might provide services to an elder in some capacity. This could include counselors, lawyers, dentists, doctors, nurses, etc. Share with the class the findings from the research you read and discuss the potential consequences of ageism among those professionals. For instance, is it possible that ageism among professionals could affect the elders self-concept, their health, financial-well-being, or even their life expectancy? Next, read and reply to the posts of at least two other students. Three replies are needed for an exemplary on interaction.

Submission
